Terms of Service

Effective date: September 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Sinew (including the website and mobile web), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Sinew is

Sinew is an antifragile stress-training product: guided drills of 3–10 minutes help you build resilience by taking stress on deliberately, and Mirror takes one book each week and reflects its ideas back into your daily life.

Sinew provides mental-health training and content. It is not medical diagnosis or treatment.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 14 years old to use Sinew.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorized use.
  • The account information you give us must be true and accurate, and kept up to date when it changes.

4. Subscriptions and payment

  • Sinew offers two subscriptions: $8.99 per month or $59 per year.
  • New users get a trial: 7 days on monthly, 14 days on yearly.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically by default. You can cancel in one click from the subscription page at any time — it takes effect immediately, with no need to contact support.
  • We remind you 7 days before your term ends, so you never renew by accident.
  • You can request a full refund within 7 days of subscribing, no questions asked.
  • Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. Sinew does not store your full card details.

5. Free and subscription content

  • Drills marked as free in the library are free forever.
  • Advanced deep drills marked “subscribers only” and Mirror require an active subscription.

6. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • reverse-engineer, crack, copy, or redistribute Sinew's code or content;
  • scrape or abuse the service at scale through automated means;
  • rent, resell, or share your subscription account with others;
  • upload anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful;
  • interfere with or damage Sinew's service and infrastructure, or circumvent the security measures we put in place.

7. Intellectual property

Sinew's brand, drill content, audio, copy, and code belong to Sinew. What you receive is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them.

Feedback you submit through “Send us feedback” may be used by Sinew to improve the product.

8. Health disclaimer (important)

Sinew provides stress training and mental-health education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not replace a doctor, therapist, or other professional.

Sinew is not a crisis service. If you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency line or a medical professional immediately.

9. Availability and changes to the service

Sinew ships new content weekly and may adjust, pause, or retire parts of the product. We work to keep the service stable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sinew is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Sinew's total liability is capped at the amount you actually paid us in the previous 12 months.

11. Account termination

  • You may stop using the service at any time and contact us to delete your account.
  • If you breach these terms, Sinew may suspend or terminate your account.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the People's Republic of China. Where mandatory law in your own jurisdiction conflicts with this, that law prevails.

For disputes relating to these terms, both parties will first try to resolve the matter in good faith. If that fails, the dispute goes to the competent People's Court where the developer is domiciled.

13. Changes to these terms

Sinew may update these terms. For material changes we will give reasonable advance notice (for example, an in-app notice or an email). Continuing to use Sinew after a change means you accept the updated terms.
